These grotesque creatures can spring into existence from the sands inside enchanted hourglasses. They are creations and minions of Dezmaethragel, the Feaster at the End of Time. However, with the right knowledge and sacrifice to Dezmaethragel, Sand Dwellers can be controlled and used by humans to do their bidding.

Sand Dwellers are excellent minions, as they are quite mindless and also relentless in pursuing their prey. Sand Dwellers feed on “time.” It is the only thing that can sate them—and they are rarely sated. After chasing down their quarry, Sand Dwellers use their razor-sharp claws and teeth to clench their targets in their unyielding jaws. Once they have their prey trapped, they drain them of their “time,” leaving their victims as dried-out husks. Afterward, they quickly move on to their next mark, or return to their master for further instruction.
